Birth tourism is an industry Turks run in New York City, Chinese run in California, Russians run Florida and the Middle East runs in Illinois. These foreign nationals operate pipelines with infrastructure, fixers, and fraudulent documentation. When is this going to be addressed? SCOTUS is going to make a decision on the subject but whatever the decision there are requirements for implementation. How's that going to work?
With Iran maybe waning, Ukraine is in the ascendency. What are the tells indicating which way the administration may move next? Will it refocus on the domestic economy, consolidating hegemony in the Americas, China or pick it from the grab bag of other possible areas of concern e.g. USMCA, election integrity, the IC & Sect. 702 & a new DNI, inflation and the Fed?
Bryan Fair, the SPLC’s interim president and CEO, told Congress his organization uses as its standard: “We list groups that demonize or vilify people based on immutable characteristics or that express anti-government conspiracy theories.”
Fair also said, hate and extremism had “... migrated significantly online and into government agencies.” That means Fair said the sitting United States government is harboring extremists, which is, by his own stated definition, an anti-government conspiracy theory.
It is a shame Congress is feckless and the SPLC will continue to operate, raise money and disseminate anti-American venom.
SpaceX got its open and got its pop. Elon Musk is the world’s first trillionaire. The expected rotation out of AI didn’t happen. SpaceX opened above its IPO price and kept climbing past $2 trillion, making it worth more than Musk's other company, Tesla, on its first day. The expectation coming in had been, investors would sell Nvidia and the other AI names to free up cash for SpaceX. It didn’t happen.
Oil prices declined. The Iran deal, should it happen, is now down to a weekend signing. A deal could be inked Sunday in Switzerland. Markets will be closed if it lands then. If it gets signed clean and oil gaps down with risk up Monday. If it stalls the war premium snaps back.
The Iran deal, whatever it is, with whoever shows up to sign it is down to the signing, depending on who you’re listening to. Pakistan, the country mediating this, says both sides now have a final agreed text, with a signing floated for Sunday in Switzerland. Oil has been carrying an extra cost for months on the risk the conflict spreads. That cost may be ending… If so, crude ended the week in the mid-eighties.
The University of Michigan's confidence survey climbed in early June after two straight record lows. Cheaper gas was the reason. Lower income households felt it most since fuel eats more of their budget. When people feel better, they spend and spending the economy hums on.
Treasury yields barely moved, the 10 year sits near 4.48%. The dollar was flat. Gold was up.
The G7 meets June 15 to 17 in the French Alps, after a possible Iran peace deal signing. The weekend deal feeds straight into those meetings. Trump spent the morning warning Iran to get its act together even with the text agreed. Don’t count your chickens before they hatch. Trump’ words are for Mr. Market as much as Iran.
The UK economy shrank in April, down a tenth of a percent, with the war's drag showing up in the numbers.
OpenAI and Anthropic are next to IPO. SpaceX was the test. The strong open clears the runway for the other mega IPOs. The flip side is supply. A wave of new stock plus slower buybacks could cap the market… until it digests. Think snake swallowing the rat.
CBOE expects to list SpaceX options as soon as Tuesday. More than two dozen ETFs already filed. Next week's moves get driven by index buying and lockups as much as the business. This is starting to feel more like a trader’s market than an investment place… grist for the mill.
Bryan, maybe I've missed it over the years I've been a listener, but I'm wondering: in light of Tulsi Gabbard's statement today, what purpose does gain-of-function research serve, other than to kill large populations? What other motive could there be? And will these experimenters and financiers ever see justice in this life if, indeed, their cause is nefarious? On a lighter note, love the updates and pics! AI Bryan is improving, but needs to practice saying "Good Day" a little more. 😁
AI Bryan definitely sounded more robotic today….he couldn’t pass muster to fake me out whereas yesterday I was like uh oh will I know when it’s the real Bryan or not? It had more of your nuances nailed down…but not today. Do we have multiple AI Bryan’s??😱Nooooooo🤣
So glad you had a successful reshoot! Can’t wait to see the end result
Bryan I hope you enjoyed your short "Working Vacation", now get back to work!
Here is my real concern; President Trump has it seems like almost every 2-4 days is stating "We are very close to a DEAL", the Iranians say we do not have a DEAL. This Kabuki Theater has been going on for over 6 weeks. Now Trump is again saying that "We have a DEAL". In 1938 the Munich Agreement was signed promising "Peace in our time", and we all know how that worked out. There is a saying "That the best indicator of future performance is past performance", with that and looking back at Iran's past adherence to any Deal or agreement over the last 47 years, how can anyone believe that Iran will uphold any agreement that they may sign or agree with. I believe that any agreement with Iran is a "Fools Errand". The President's judgment is flawed by his belief that he can make a DEAL with anyone. He is sowing the seeds of a massive failure!
The palomino looks like the one I had that I had to put down a year ago in May. He was 30. His name was Sam… he was a kill pen rescue I got when he was 15. Looking forward to you getting back in the saddle. Safe travels back and God’s blessings for all you do!
We rescued a Mare and foal ago. Took a year of rehab before they could be ridden and to trust us. Lost the Mare a few years back but she had good years. Her daughter is still my daughters favorite.
I had never been around horses as a boy, but my daughter was headed down the wrong path with her peer group. She wanted horses so I used them to pull her away from the bad crowd and foucus on the care of the horses. It was epxensive but it worked and I would rather spend m money on the horses then on lawers or rehab.
I got a Standardbred off the track at the age of 9. He was 35 when he and Sam went together. Wampy had PPID and had lost a ton of weight but was still head of his herd of 4 at the time. He was fading fast and I thought when Sam declined to the point he couldn't get himself up it wasn't fair for him to see his best friend go. So I made the tough decision to let them go together before the hellish summer and long before the next winter. So hard. Right after I brought Sam home I adopted 2 rescued nurse mare foals. One was 8 weeks when I brought her home and the next year I brought home a 6 week old. My bucket babies. The gelding sadly had a catastrophic pasture injury that I tried rehabbing for 6 months but it was not going to heal. I lost him at 7yrs. My mare was born with insulin resistance sadly and although I recognized the signs early on and prevented founder, when we moved to AZ I couldn't bring her with me because she had violent reactions to vaccines and so she couldn't cross state lines without a health certificate. She couldn't be on grass, she was always on a dry lot and we made our own hay that I tested and balanced so it was low in sugar and starch. That couldn't happen here. So I made the tough decision to rehome her to my farrier who could keep her on a dry lot, has kids, and he and his neighbor make the same kind of hay we did under the same conditions. He was vet tech, his wife is a vet. Knowing she is well taken care of helps but it is the first time in decades I don't have a horse. Got my first one at 11. It's a deep love. Kept me away from the bad crowds as a youngster and teen as well. I am thankful my Dad had a horse growing up because he was prepared for my lifelong love!

You probably have this information. But it seems like it will make for some interesting campaigning...

Wonderful to see these pics!
Nice photos, beautiful country....
Happy Friday tribe.
I went to see Disclosure Day yesterday. Emily Blunt is Oscar worthy in this film. Very well-done movie with all the thrills and laughs inside.

Not sure it will be a "massive failure," but I have been in a "wake me when it's over" space for a while, now.
Agree his calendar, and time piece are not on page with anyone else's.

Good karma, Nancy ! You gave Sam 15 more years of life !
And, St Francis of Assisi would be thrilled : )
Amen y’all ✝️👑 Happ week end
To human Bryan: Hope you had a great trip.
Also....I find myself not wired to listen to AI anybody, especially a soulless, AI-voiced bible verse.
...Like if Max Headroom had said "Have a blessed day" or something.
AIAODAD…😂😂😂 Have a safe trip home.
