Former CIA officer Bryan Dean-Wright, who worked at the CIA under Brennan, pointed to the Wall Street Journal report and the just-released Ratcliffe review to argue that Brennan “should rot in prison.”
Things do not appear to be going well between Trump and Putin. North Korea has sent an additional 30,000 troops to Ukraine. Putin is mounting an attack with drones. He's massing troops around the next city on his invasion path. The US shut off the arms spiggot to Ukraine. To say thing are going poorly for Ukraine is an understatement.
Where do we go from here? Trump says he has a deal with China. Have we seen any rare earth minerals come out of China? BRICS ad meeting this month and they are not loving the Trump tariffs. Which was will they go? It looks like they are making strong progress in the political and economic worlds. What are we expecting coming from their meeting besides a few new members? Will the EU and Canada apply for membership?
Del Monte Foods initiated Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings on July 1. Economic pressures including increased steel and aluminum tariffs have significantly impacted the canned foods industry. This comes at the same time as shifts in consumer preferences toward healthier alternatives and private label products. Del Monte is the fourth major food and beverage company to file for bankruptcy protection this year. This is a broader industry challenge. The company owns several brands including Del Monte, Contadina, College Inn, Kitchen Basics, JOYBA, Take Root Organics, and S&W.
The Trump administration decided to double tariffs on steel and aluminum from 25% to 50% on June 4. This is creating substantial cost pressure for companies like Del Monte; companies relying heavily on these materials for packaging. The increased production costs, combined with changing consumer preferences, increased the financial challenges facing the company.
The question becomes: How many business bankruptcies from the effects of tariffs are we going to see? Is this part of the reticence of the Federal Reserve to drop interest rates or part of Trump's insistence that they do so? It is beginning to appear on this point one party or the other is wrong and may need to change course.
I have vivid memories of the pledge of allegiance in my youth. America had won WW II, and everyone was proud and involved in that victory.
Since then, we were slowly and quietly infiltrated by communists who have worked diligently to destroy us.
The majority of Americans are really good people as is the same in all countries. It is the “management” that changed.
For the last forty years our management has changed to “indifference and corruption,” which in my opinion is amazing considering that all “officials” swore on the Bible to uphold the Constitution and (by extension), to be honest!
I cried tears of joy when Trump won in 2016 while Hillary was primping her hair for her acceptance speech which was a guaranteed win due to fraud
It didn’t work!! She was so destroyed that she couldn’t even make any speech to acknowledge the loss.
So from there, all stops were pulled to “get” Trump, and it still goes on today.
“Law fare,” hindrances of all kinds were activated, but for this term, he had four years of time to study the enemy and evolve a great plan.
There is a new sheriff in town. “The first man they look for, and the last they want to meet— it’s a chancy job and it makes a man watchful and a little lonely!” — from the radio series “Gunsmoke”
He rode into town and saved our country.
Can you imagine Kamala as president?
The BBB “squeaked” through , and he has the resources to get the job done.
So on this Fourth of July let’s rekindle our love of country and the many brave soldiers who died and were crippled for our freedoms.
The next BIG celebration will be Two Hundred and Fifty years next Fourth of July an we should be, “really cooking” by then!!
Let's begin the 250th anniversay celebration now. I agree with Trump we need a year of celebrating culminating in 2026 Independence of 250 years of this great nation.
I was at Mt Rushmore Friday and there were many wearing patriotic shirts. Four young ladies, 16-18 years old, sporting very patriotic shirts gave me faith in today's youth.
Bryan, Love this story of Mr. Redmond! I have been listening to you since the first episode of your previous podcast. You have played the story of Mr. Redmond numerous times, I appreciate it and he should be remembered. However, I am sure there are others whom could be remembered and talked about on the 4th of July and Memorial Day. Thanks for all you do and God Bless America!
Good morning, Bryan, the story of Hugh Redman is such a reminder of the sacrifices that have been made by many for our country. I came to the states from Puerto Rico at the age of three. I love my country of origin, still speak Spanish and am proud of that heritage. That said, being a US citizen is very precious to me. I’m truly proud to be an American and never take for granted the lives lost and injured to preserve it’s freedom. I pray that this nation never falls. I pray that we continue righting the ship to continue our course as a free republic.
Happy Independence Day, everyone. God bless us all and God bless America. 🇺🇸
On July 4, 1863, my great-grandfather, Joseph Daly, and his fellow soldiers of the 15th Independent Battery, New York Light Artillery spent the day recovering and performing maintenance on their equipment. The previous day, they repulsed Pickett's Charge.
My great-grandfather also was recovering from a wound he received on July 2 in the Peach Orchard. The battery had 3 men killed and 18 wounded in the battle. One man was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions in the Peach Orchard. I wonder what the men of the 15th would think of today's Americans.
Be Americans. Let there be no sectionalism, no North, South, East or West. You are all dependent on one another and should be one in union. In one word, be a nation. Be Americans, and be true to yourselves.---George Washington
You are 100% correct about the importance of teaching (accurate/honest) history and civics, and starting the day with the Pledge of Allegiance in school and, I believe, in public government meetings. Our elementary schools in LA Calif (yes in LA) in the 1960s said the Pledge every morning - those schools were good then about taking diverse children in and turning out Americans....sadly this is not longer true.
I recently went to a public city hall meeting in Eagle Idaho for residents to raise issues and give views to the mayor and city council and that meeting started with he Pledge of Allegiance.
These things are important. I have seen first hand how other nations (eg Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and other Asian nations) handle instilling nationalism in their children. They ALL start early in school.
I read a couple news stories (AP and NBC) on the report released by the CIA: "Tradecraft Review of the 2016 Intelligence Community Assessment on Russian Election Interference."
I did not expect much from their reporting and that's exactly what I got... because that's what they consistently deliver.
So I read the report myself. What I find interesting is how masterful our Russian adversaries are. They dangled this op in front of the H. Clinton campaign and got them to pay for it (see AP "DNC, Clinton campaign agree to Steele dossier funding fine").
I also find it interesting that the main point the "main stream" media doesn't report (because they're propagandists), and that we should all be thankful for is that President Trump was NOT in on it.

How about re instating the Pledge of Allegiance again?
Only the students making the pledge would stand, and non participants would remain seated and quiet!
No pledge, no federal funding!
Would be interesting to see how it works out.

Hope everyone has been enjoying the 4th.
Bryan your op ed is excellent.
I hope it gains traction and lights a fire under the right people. If the wrong ones come calling we have your back! Just ask.
Happy Independence Day from Redwood City, California!! You're doing tremendous work Bryan. Thank you for your efforts.
I love this story.
Well done, Bryan. Happy Independence Day from Payson, Arizona, where patriotism is alive and well.

Happy 4th of July! I will playing this episode to our family and friends this afternoon. I have read about Virginia Hall, an amazing woman.
