The Ekranoplan, an ultra-low flying aircraft with features from ships, airplanes, and hovercraft, has been spotted in the northwest Yellow Sea. These craft are designed to fly below the radar horizon, while being much faster than ships. The Soviet designed ekranoplans, massive ground-effect vehicles, are built for rapid troop and armored vehicle deployment in amphibious assaults, a role currently filled by hovercraft in China's Navy (PLAN). Submarine warfare expert HI Sutton was the first to document it. Separately, China is building submarines at a rate of 5 per year. That’s a rate we do not, currently cannot match. China currently has 65 in its fleet. We seem to be edging closer to a Taiwan recovery effort by China. Where else are they going to use such a weapon? How many will it deploy? https://www.zerohedge.com/military/chinas-mysterious-bohai-sea-monster-spotted-first-time
Yes, I'm currently a free (via Spotify) listener. I want to make a donation but prefer to send a check. Can you help with that? Need address and how you want it made out.
Am I the only one who finds eventual govt ownership of a mining company a little concerning? Govt and corporate partnership is the dream of WEF. How is this development different?
The U.S. House of Representatives will push next week to advance their pro-cryptocurrency agenda. Lawmakers are set to consider three pieces of legislation:
• The CLARITY Act: It’s an attempt to establish a clear regulatory framework for digital assets, balancing consumer protection with innovation.
• The Anti-CBDC Surveillance Act: Prohibits unelected federal officials from issuing a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). It attempts to address concerns over government overreach and threats to individual financial privacy.
• The GENIUS Act: Creates a “light-touch” regulatory regime for stablecoins (digital tokens pegged to fiat currencies like the U.S. dollar).
The GOP’s broader digital policy strategy increasingly aligns with themes of deregulation, free markets, and privacy protection. There are rising voices expressing concern about government overreach in financial surveillance. CBDC is a device which many fear will lead to tracking similar to Chinese style economic control based on an individual’s private transactions.
This is important potentially: China has outlawed Bitcoin. If we embrace it, it becomes another area of contrast. Monetary and digital currency are areas where BRICS and the West are potentially split. Lots of nuance here...
Have you thought about joining the Daily Wire? You put out a great report, and you would be a great addition to the Daily Wire. They have a million subscribers.
Great question! If that were a possibility, they’d have to reach out to me. My previous unsolicited pitches haven’t gone anywhere. Plus, they have a morning show so I’m not sure it would fit. But it’s a good idea in the general. Who knows!
Hi Mr. Wright, I joined today as a subscriber and would like to make a 1 time donation for the time I have listened on Spotify as an ad-listener. I appreciate your explanation of the business model you are working under. Your time is highly valuable and I wish to donate for the 16 months I was not a subscriber. You are valued and appreciated, but that is not enough. I want to show my financial support. You referenced a link for a 1x donation but I have not located it. Thank you. RJ in VA.
What a kind note! If you want us to set up an on-going contribution, I can do it! Shoot me an email at Tribe@bryandeanwright.com. We’ll get it set up. That’s so very kind. Thank you!!
I’ve been listening for years and finally subscribed—thank you for the valuable service you provide.
That said, the process through the Substack app was surprisingly confusing. I was already a free subscriber and had to unsubscribe, then resubscribe just to trigger the option to pick a paid tier. I’m no tech wizard, but I’m also not clueless—and even I wasn’t sure how I got it to work.
Just wanted to flag it in case others run into the same issue. I know it’s not in your control, but it might be worth raising with Substack.
Great Friday brief, as usual. I always like it when you give us a little peek behind the curtain, but 85% of listeners putting up with ads and not having the ability to download source info?? Surprised me.
BTW, care to share a little about that project in DC on an important issue about Afghanistan which you mentioned at the end of last month? Taking much of your time?
There’s been a few DC-related things that have popped up recently. I’m happy to help but I think this podcast is doing good things for listeners and I want to keep going. There are only one or two projects that could pull me away and I’m not even raising those with folks back in DC; my time with Uncle Sam as a full time guy is over.
IMO, there’s a real void right now in our media that (I believe) I’m filling… a provision of facts and data, separating analysis and opinion, with sourcing for people to review and share. I also keep speculation to a minimum, which I think is basically 90% of “new media.”
I have a humble heart knowing that I don’t nail it every episode. I also know that the podcast would be better with more minds working with me each day to curate, research, and present. As the old expression goes, there’s no such thing as a good writer… only great editors! But to get that level of perfection and excellence (adding and training staff), I will need to partner with a corporate entity. I just can’t build this plane, fly it at the same time, and expand the fleet… It’s just too much for one guy even with the hours that I put in seven days a week.
Hopefully I’ll continue to find a greater audience over time with this niche approach, with or without corporate sponsorship and backing.
Meanwhile, we’ll be the little engine that could… and keep striving for excellence each day!
Bryan, your dedication and the effort that you put into your podcast has me shaking my head in awl and admiration. I think that I have followed you since day one. When you spoke from the heart that you looked upon this podcast not as job or gig but as a RIGHTEOUS CALLING. Us "Tribers" truly appreciate not just what you do but how you do it, You can't be bought. You told me that you got my back and us members of "The Tribe" have your!
I will add that, in addition to penmanship being nonexistent, phones have made them illiterate! It is nearly impossible for me to find a person to work in the pharmacy who can actually read and spell because they’re so used to saying the word to get the spelling that they do not naturally know how to spell anything autonomously. That doesn’t even consider the fact that, as I have always said, phones made our world much more rude, inconsiderate, and disconnected.
They also don’t learn cursive anymore—With the exception of California reinstating it recently. And what are all of our historical documents written in?? Exactly! If you can’t read it, you can’t know the truth, and the truth can be rewritten for you. The truth is what the state says it is.
I could see it back then, but now more so than ever, I believe that the worst thing to happen to the schools is Obama because my $12,000 a year program went up to $55,000 a year. If you’ll remember he made a HUGE push for new teachers who would get loan forgiveness upon graduation, and the scholarships for teachers were given out to people who were malleable to beliefs. Teachers being molded into believing false ideals and history will teach our elementary and high school children now. Perfect plan, no? They seem to be doing the same thing with PAs now, which is quite dangerous depending on the school. I just thank the Lord that I had Alexis de tocqueville’s history book when I was in school, rather than Howard Zinn’s subsidized propaganda. Avoided the Schofield Bible somehow as well. 😅
Bryan, “Thank you” (& Steph, too) for your continued consistency in providing us, your listeners, with superb news insights and intellectual honesty.
Iran. General Keane, U.S. Army (Ret) was on Fox News this morning & commented on the enriched uranium situation that some are debating. His 2 main points (in my words):
1) Centrifuges. He said that Iran’s centrifuges are all or almost all destroyed. Without centrifuges, Iran cannot enrich their uranium, even if they have any uranium left.
2) Enriched Uranium. Most, if not all, of Iran’s enriched uranium is buried underground & not accessible thanks to “Operation Midnight Hammer.”
Geoengineering. The Guadalupe River Valley has had catastrophic floods before - without any geoengineering occurring in its vicinity. Doesn’t mean that this latest tragic event was different with the Rainmaker activity either underway or recently underway in Texas. But, it will be tough to prove one way or the other. Regardless, Texas Gov Abbott is on the right track IMHO to improve his state’s flood warning system, especially, when a flood occurs after hours/in the middle of the night. There has to be more than one way to warn those in danger - by sound as well as electronically - and, perhaps, visually - e.g., with street lights flashing intermittently in more urban areas.
The presidents of Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania, and Senegal recently came to the White House State Dining Room to hear Trump, in person, on international cooperation. These nations control reserves of lithium, cobalt, rare earth minerals, and energy resources America has uses for. Trump told them, “We’re shifting from aid to trade. There’s great economic potential in Africa, like few other places. In many ways, in the long run, this will be far more effective and sustainable and beneficial than anything else that we can be doing together.” Trump understands; lasting relationships aren’t built on dependency, they’re built on shared success.
Media reporting says the Houthis are claiming their first ship sinking this year in a Red Sea attack. It is tied to their threat to resume attacks if the US hit Iran. The Magic Seas was sunk by missiles and drones. A second ship, the Eternity C, was hit by sea drones and RPGs from speedboats. Both were in the central Red Sea off Hodeida, Yemen.

Hi Bryan,
Can we call the donations a “tip” so they are tax free?
Keep up the great work,
Darrin
Hi Darrin! I don’t believe they’re tax deductible but I’ll ask to double check. Thanks for the support regardless…

Yikes… Thanks for flagging this. I’ll send the feedback to Substack. Not good!

Bryan. I listen to you every week day and because you are honest and ahead of most of the news, I understand and am up to date on the latest
Thank you!!
I donated 500 to help you out
I’m running out of words to express how grateful I am… I really am so thankful. How incredible and humbling. Thank you!!

Thank you, Bryan for a great week of Intel. It certainly has been jampacked. Have a great weekend and please go out and have some fun.
Thank you!! : )
GO President MILEI‼️‼️ I am so happy about Argentinas success 👍❤️
If the screw worm is under control there, Milei may add to his success by increasing his already significant export of beef to the USA. Win win??
