Great show. Glad to see you and team have full episodes and not a “best of” or 2024 “ recap”

Regarding the H1 visa issue. I have seen many many H1 visa workers, some are brilliant and some not as brilliant or skilled. I would say the program is a good thing but the rules have to be made more strictly enforced and the guidelines have to be narrowed.

Here's hoping your Christmas was maerry and bright. Now it is time to turn to the New Year. So, Happy New Year to all. Next up a report on Chinese ambitions to chew on. Probably there's little new here. But China intends to be more tomorrow than it is today... so...

According to a DoD report, “Military and Security Developments Involving the People’s Republic of China 2024,” China is on course to have 1,000 nuclear weapons in its arsenal by 2030. The CCCP intends to continue adding more nuclear arms to its growing arsenal while expanding its global influence and sovereignty. China has more than 600 nuclear arms in its inventory currently.

China is growing more confident in flexing its military might in pursuit of global political gains. The Chinese Communist Party’s foreign policy, “… seeks to reshape the international order into what it calls a ‘community of common destiny’.

This is being undertake in support of its strategy to realize "rejuvenation” of China as a dominant world power. China is working hard economically and monetarily as well. It is taking a leadership role in BRICS. Note the 81 nation summit in Moscow recently...

China said in 2023 the nation’s “… state defense policy remained oriented toward advancing its sovereignty, security and development interests while emphasizing a greater global role for itself …” China has a policy of never being the first to use nuclear weapons.

However, having a large stockpile increases the likelihood China will militarily move to annex Taiwan. They believe doing so expands China’s territorial influence and sovereignty as they improve nuclear capabilities.

This intention includes, by extension, expanded capabilities e.g. development of missiles capable of striking Hawaii, Alaska and the continental United States. Its navy is the largest in the world and it is modernized far more than ours.

China’s military is undergoing a purge of high ranking military officials and executives in their defense industry. China removed at least 15 military officials and defense industry executives during the last half of 2023 and this continues through 2024 in an “anti-corruption” purge of the Chinese military.

Happy Time Off for Steph and Laura. Steph has helped me in the past, and I am grateful. I am a film composer, composing and recording (and mixing/mastering) music for lower-level movies, and so I totally understand the work that Laura does. It’s not exactly easy. Many thanks to Laura. I hope all three of you can recharge your “batteries” for 2025.
